Kristoffer is an insurance and corporate lawyer with many years of experience and an outstanding academic background. He was partner at the law firm Castellón, Frontaura & Perez, and partner at BFV Liquidadores, a former registered and supervised loss adjusting company in Santiago de Chile. Due to his expertise on the loss adjusting side, mainly in property, machinery, construction and liability lines, he knows the Chilean insurance market inside out. He is also familiar with the markets of the neighbor states Argentina, Bolivia and Peru. Through his law firm he advises national and international clients on insurance matters but also in commercial and corporate law including mergers and acquisitions, shareholder agreements or contract wordings. This combination of pure legal work and practical experience on the claims-front is very rare in South-American markets. Since 2018 Kristoffer has conducted several auditing projects at Aurigon Advisors in Continental Europe (DE, NL, BE, E, CH, NO, S, DK, A, P), mostly for the Lloyd´s market but also for German insurers.
Kristoffer studied law in Santiago de Chile (LL.B) and Heidelberg, Germany, where he obtained an LL.M. in international law. He was a scholar of the German Hanns-Seidel-Foundation. He has taught International Private Law as professor at the Universidad Católica in Santiago de Chile as well as Insurance Law at the Insurance Law Certification Programme of the same university.
He is fluent in Spanish, English, German and Dutch.
