Pedro is a highly qualified lawyer with more than 23 years of international experience in business and government relations. He is currently partner of an independent law firm in Buenos Aires, Argentina and represents AURIGON Advisors in this very special market. Prior to setting up his own law boutique, he worked in the London and New York offices of Alfaro Abogados, as Head of Legal at EDESUR, a public utility company and Head of Legal of the Government of Buenos Aires.
He is specialised in supervisory law and has enormous experience in dealing with companies operating in highly regulated and also political industries such as media, oil & gas and health care. In 2005 he was ranked one of Argentina’s Top Lawyers under 40 by the business magazine Apertura. His broad network within the public sector and his experience in common law (UK/US) and case law jurisdictions (Spain, Argentina) make him a first choice consultant dealing with complex re-/insurance matters not only in South-America.
Pedro has an outstanding academic background being Professor of Constitutional Law and Legal Theory at the Universidad Catolica in Buenos Aires since many years. He holds a diploma in English Law and awaits his LLB of BPP College in London, UK. He made his Master in Public Administration at Harvard University, Boston and a Master in European Community Law at the Universidad Autonoma de Madrid, Spain. A Master in Administrative Law was given by the Universidad Austral and his law degree (J.D.) by the Universidad de Buenos Aires, both Argentina.
Pedro is fluent in English, Spanish and Portuguese and has basic knowledge of French.
