Alexander has over 17 years of experience the insurance and reinsurance industry. Prior to his engagement at AURIGON Advisors he worked as senior consultant and project manager at Chiltington International in Hamburg and as management consultant at Horváth & Partners in Berlin. The basis of his rich experience in almost all aspects concerning the organisation of an insurance company was gained as trainee of Volksfürsorge Versicherungen in Hamburg, where he worked as claims manager for motor liability and legal costs (Advocard) before he started underwriting motor and casualty business. His first position in reinsurance was at Hannover Re followed by his career in the consultancy environment.

In his capacity as consultant to many international re-/insurance companies he participated and managed various due diligences as well as reinsurance audits. His experience in underwriting, administration, accounting and claims handling of non-life business within several European countries make him an excellent advisor in business controlling as well as process optimisation, portfolio assessment or the audit of managing agents/cover holders. He frequently deals with the development of exit strategies and problems arising out of discontinued lines of business.

Alexander studied business administration at the University of Hamburg holding the respective master degree and is Versicherungskaufmann, a special qualification given for business administration in the insurance sector. He is fluent in German and English.
